Gender equality is a human right issue and a precondition and indicator for sustainable development. Since the UN Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action 25 years ago, the strategy for promoting gender equality is gender mainstreaming. Since then, women’s, as well as men’s concerns and experiences, must be an integral dimension of all policies and programmes. In this webinar, we want to exchange with and learn from other UN processes, how gender equality can be integrated into (environmental) policy processes.
Guest speaker: Susan Wingfield – Programme Officer and Gender Focal Point, BRS Conventions Secretariat
The webinar was held on the 24th of November 2020.
